My Life in the Middle School Band

Do you sometimes feel like you will learn music once you join band?  Well, if yes, then I know how you feel. It all started when I became a Middle Schooler. I had no friends, and I was from Tennessee. No one understood me until I joined band.

After three weeks of learning music, we had to decide on what instrument we wanted to play. I, however, decided on the tenor saxophone. The tenor really suits me, because I can play it very well. And, because I was inspired by my cousin who lives all the way in Washington State, and I am really talented by the music that I play; like “YMCA” or “Hey Soul Sister.”

My mom was proud of me when I told her what I had decided to play. I really want to learn more, but it has its limits. You can play a lot, or you can play a little. It doesn’t matter how much you can do.  You will always have music inside of you.

Well, I have to go, but remember that there will always be music inside of you.
